See Civil is preparing for Mandatory ASRS Reporting

See Civil is a growing civil construction company navigating the shift to mandatory sustainability reporting, using Trace to make carbon measurement practical and their ASRS preparation manageable.

What led you to choose Trace?

We were essentially getting ready for mandatory sustainability reporting. We looked at a few different products, but what stood out with Trace was both the expertise in the area and the relatively simple way you can bring financial information into the system.

For us, it was important that the platform made the process manageable and practical for our team.

How has Trace helped with your carbon measurement?

Trace has helped us make something very complicated much easier to understand. Carbon accounting can feel overwhelming at first, but the platform simplifies the process and makes it much clearer how everything fits together.

How has the ASRS component helped your business specifically?

The ASRS-related work we did with Trace has been really helpful, especially around preparing our reporting. It helped connect the theoretical side of sustainability reporting with the practical application.

That has been really valuable as we start putting together our reports and working through what mandatory reporting will actually look like for us.

Before using Trace, what part of the process was the most time-consuming?

A lot of the complexity comes from gathering and organising financial and operational data. Being able to bring financial information directly into Trace makes that process significantly easier compared to trying to piece everything together manually.

What has become easier in your most recent measurement?

One of the helpful improvements has been the AI functionality in the platform. It helps streamline parts of the process that previously required more manual work.

Another thing we have appreciated is that while there have been enhancements, the platform itself has stayed consistent. Once you have learned how it works, the process becomes much more straightforward each year.

What have you liked most about your experience with Trace?

The platform strikes a good balance between capability and usability. Sustainability reporting can get very technical, but Trace keeps the process manageable for the team while still supporting the depth of analysis we need.

What would you tell another company considering Trace?

I would definitely recommend they have a look. I would also be happy to speak with other companies about our experience using Trace.
