Our Story
When Cat and Jo launched their first business, a leather fashion goods brand in 2016, they learnt first-hand how difficult it was for a small company to measure and reduce its environmental impact. That frustration became the foundation for Trace.Trace launched in 2020, during Sydney's worst bushfire season, with a clear purpose: make emissions measurement accessible for every business. Five years on, the landscape has fundamentally shifted. Mandatory climate disclosure under ASRS S2 and ISSB is now a reality for thousands of Australian entities, and the finance teams and auditors responsible for it need a platform they can trust.
Trace has evolved with that reality. Today, we're a climate disclosure platform built for the rigour that mandatory reporting demands, helping businesses move from emissions measurement to audit-ready disclosure across ASRS S2, AASB S1, and ISSB frameworks. With customers across 11+ countries and a team spanning Australia and the UK, our goal is clear: to become the most loved and trusted climate disclosure platform for businesses and their auditors.
